Best recognized as a writer, Victor Levin has penned episodes for such popular television programs as the marriage-centered sitcom Mad About You and the 1960s set drama Mad Men, as well as scripted such charming movies as Win a Date With Tad Hamilton! and Then She Found Me. However, in 1999 he dabbled in directing, helming an ep of Mad About You along with a little known venture called The Successor. But his latest script, 5 to 7, has spurred his return to the director’s chair, and has stirred up a fantastically promising cast.
Mockingbird Pictures in conjunction with Demarest Films has unveiled a press release revealing six-time Oscar nominee Glenn Close (Albert Nobbs), Oscar nominee Frank Langella (Frost/Nixon), Bérénice Marlohe (Skyfall), Lambert Wilson (Of Gods and Men) and Olivia Thirlby (Being Flynn) have joined Anton Yelchin for this New York-set romantic comedy.
5 to 7 stars Yelchin as a young, aspiring novelist named Brian, who is engaged in a 5 to 7 affair with Arielle the gorgeous wife of a French diplomat. Notably, Yelchin was attached to the project last fall along with Diane Kruger, who was slated to play Arielle. However, the latest press release makes no mention of her, and has Bond Girl Marlohe in this role. Filling out the cast, Wilson will play Arielle’s cuckolded husband, Valery. Thirlby is set for the part of Brian’s friend and editor, Jane, while Langella and Close will take on the roles of his parents, Sam and Arlene.
5 to 7 will be seeking distribution sales at the Cannes Film Market. It’s projected to hit theaters in 2014.

- Skyfall has just been released on DVD so for anyone who has not seen the movie yet can you tell me a little bit about it?
When I saw the movie what struck me immediately was the photography of the movie because it is just so powerful.
I am fascinated with the world of dreams and imagination and it really connected me to a world, in a way, of science fiction; which I am a big fan of. It was very striking as I haven’t seen that in previous Bond movies.
Thanks again to Chuckie.
